Lounging

This week, the Syndicate hosted The Lounge.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Gin and Tonic Lounge, please have a look to your right, and visit our friends north of the border.

This past week, Mr and Mrs G&T stopped by the Ranch for a little SoCal hospitality.
There were grilled meats. There were astounding mashed potatoes (courtesy of Mrs. Syndicate); There were aged single malt scotches and cigars from south of the border. And fire... There was fire. And it was good.

Its rare that our northern compadres get to experience the Syndicate hospitality first hand, so we were delighted to break out the grill and get to work.

The other Syndicate-ish event for the week was the visit to the Wine House for the Vintner Dinner with Long Meadow Ranch. A fine Napa winery that suffered tragic losses to their reserves as a result of a fire a few years ago. They have come back, strong as ever.

The Vintner dinner gave us a chance to sample their organic beef, their fine wines and a special treat, their grappa! Regular readers know that after the Italy trip, the Syndicate has acquired a taste for grappa...

MANY Glasses of wine later, it occurred to me that we neglected to grab photos or play by play descriptions of the meal. Please feel free to visit the Long Meadow Ranch website, or the Wine House for more details.
